Nebraska Springtime Cottonwoods - original plein air oil landscape painting by Dawn Chandler Nebraska Springtime Cottonwoods is from my very first trip to Nebraska to witness the great Sandhill crane migration one March a few years ago. The cottonwood trees along the Platte & edges of the fields were just beginning to show signs of color. This scene is not far from Rowe Sanctuary. After watching the cranes rise up from the River, I parked my car facing the fields as the cranes dispersed over the fields. I was so pleased with this painting & it's rosy hint of Spring, that I kept it in my own collection for several years. I'm now ready to release it to the world. :-) This is an original, one-of-a-kind painting by Dawn Chandler.
