This scarf is wonderful! Growing up in Ohio, I know well of the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. I love the details in this scarf. You will find 8 Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs on this scarf, their form of folk art. in the center is a horse & buggy. These souvenir scarves featuring locale were quite popular mid-century. This scarf was produced by Capsco (Capitol Souvenir Company.) The company started with just souvenir photos in the 1920s under a different name. It went on to be named Capsco & became the largest souvenir company in the country by the 1960s. The scarf is all rayon. It measures 28" x 28". It is in excellent condition, looking barely if ever used. It is slightly wrinkled, but many of the original folds are still in place. This is a great collectible piece!
