- This is a vintage 1975 Milton Bradley/American Heritage board game Battle-Cry. The game is complete & the shows wear. It was flat when I got it & has been built with the corners repaired. The Civil War booklet is present but the original directions were gone. I have added a set I printed from the web. Take a look at the photos. About the game - in the 1960s Milton Bradley Company published a series of history-based board games, with endorsement or cooperation from the American Heritage Publishing Company. Each game dealt with a different period in American history, usually a famous battle from either the Revolutionary or Civil War. These were war & strategy games, although simpler in design & play than similar games published by the 3M company at that time. The firm re-released the game series during the 1970s, just prior to the American Bicentennial in 1976. This particular game comes from that latter series.
