Description
One of the most recognizable statues in the world turned into an ornament. This ornament was created by using a 3D scanned casting of the original David. The sculpture itself is approximately 4 inches tall & the string for hanging is about 3.5 inches long. The statue of David was originally commissioned to be put on the roofline of the Florence Cathedral, but was instead placed in the public square known as Piazza Della Signoria, outside of the Palazzo Vecchio. The Florentines saw David as a symbol of their struggle against the Medici family & decided that the sculpture was too good to place on the roof. It was then unveiled on September 8, 1504. - 3D printed with white PLA - Sculpture 4" tall with a 3.5" long golden hanging string - Material Unless noted, all of our 3D prints are made from PLA, a plastic most commonly produced from corn starch or sugarcane. This is a fairly durable & lightweight material. It is not dishwasher safe & cannot exceed 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Any long-term exposure to the sun could cause the color to fade. - Disclaimer Since this is a 3D printed product, there may be minor imperfections such as bumps or rough edges that can only be avoided to a certain extent.
