Description

Here I have a midcentury lamp that has a Victorian style figurine mounted on it. All other copies of the man with the flute are listed as occupied Japan, which would put him 1940s or so. This one is mounted tightly & I cannot see his base, but he is a lovely piece & I see no damage to him. The lamp is small & lightweight. The hollow base is pierced with a wave like design all around. It has some natural patina, mostly confined to the base of the piece & the arm. The crookneck arm has a single light that does work as it sits. The GE plug is not polarized, so at least late 1960's or earlier. I strongly suggest anyone that purchases vintage electronics should consider rewiring them (it's not at all hard). I have added a bulb & plugged it in to be sure it works, but that is the extent of my testing. The piece has been in storage for some time & there could be small breaks to the cord not easily seen. It does not have a shade, but a small bulb sitting shade would work well here. Lightbulb was added to check if it worked & is NOT included, thanks! It is 11 7/8" tall & 4" across the base.
