I wish I knew more about this item for you. If you know anything about it I would be interested in knowing more about it. I tried researching it but didn't come up with anything solid. Don Carlos is a mythical Spanish figure. Radau is a reference to a river in Saxony Germany. & if I was right with my translation he T is a reference to a pike. All together though it doesn't solve the mystery of what this medal/prize/pendant is. No makers marks that I can see. Not sure of the metal type. It is non-magnetic. It does have weight to it. There is some discolor/oxidation spots. See my photos. The detail of the owl & then the garland that surrounds the owl is really amazing! The bow & center medallion are etched with the words: Der Hecht Don Carlos 25". I do believe this is a much older item. It measures appr 4 1/4" from the bottom to top of the bale & then appr 2 1/4" side to side. The bale opening is appr 1/2". Might have been worn on a ribbon? Really a neat owl item!!
