Hand Painted Byzantine icon of Jesus Christ on wood with 24k gold. This icon is made to order hand painted with 3 Varnish layers ensuring waterproofing & durability over the generations. It is carefully worked according to the style & criteria required by the old Byzantine school of iconography. This icon is made to order & it needs 7-20 days to be completed. If the buyer needs a certain size & we do not have the wood already prepared in our workshop we need 2-3 weeks to prepare the wood for painting. We only use natural materials such as wooden board, gesso (chalk ground), egg tempera & gold leaf.
