Stavanger Cathedral Wood Plate, Norway, Hand Painted. in great condition with natural occurring light edge wear & a natural wood discoloration above the S in "Stavanger" on the rim. Approx. dimensions are 9 1/4" Wide x 1" Deep. Has a metal hanger on the back for hanging. A wood plate hand painted with the "Stavanger Cathedral of Norway. Carved at the top it says "Stavanger Domkirke" (Stavanger Cathedral). Carved at the bottom it says "Norge" which is Danish & Swedish for "Norway". Stavanger Cathedral is Norway's oldest cathedral & the seat of the Bishop of Stavanger who leads the Diocese of Stavanger in the Church of Norway. It is located in the center of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in central Rogaland county, Norway.
