A Lunar Calendar / Wheel of the Year for the SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE! Moon phases & dates are accurate for Australian time zones. I got so many requests to make a Southern Hemisphere version of my Lunar Calendar / Wheel of the Year, & I'm so happy to finally be able to offer it here! This art is for all the witches & pagans & stargazers & re-wilding folk out there finding a way back into sync with the rhythms of nature. As I grow, I find myself becoming more & more aware of the ways in which my body, mind, & spirit are influenced by & intertwined with the moon & her phases, as well as by the seasons of the year. I've learned that the practice of living in deeper intimacy with nature's cycles supports my growth, health, spirituality & creativity. This calendar is a tool for getting in tune with the moon & in sync with the seasons, so that we may work in closer harmony with nature's influence in our lives. ~ The original watercolor was hand-painted by me, at my home in the Berkshire mountains, in 2020. The original calendar was designed for the year 2021, & for the northern hemisphere, but I have now digitally updated it to be accurate for later years, & the version offered in this listing has been digitally altered to be accurate for the seasons, solstices & equinoxes of the Southern Hemisphere. The prints for sale are square cut, 12.5 inches tall & 12.5 inches wide, on matte cardstock paper. Written around the circumference of the calendar are words invoking the traditional wisdom of living in tune with the phases of the moon & cycles of the seasons. To summarize that wisdom... The new moon & winter is the time of utmost Yin or darkness in the cycle. The is a time for deep rest, stillness, grounding, receptivity, & attention to dreams & visions. This time is suited to the setting of intentions for the coming cycle. The waxing moon & springtime encourages growth & new beginnings, increasing engagement with the outer world, & preparing for & taking action. The full moon & summer is the culmination of the active, light, Yang half of the lunar & solar/seasonal cycles. At this time, projects are supported in coming to fruition, intentions manifest more easily in reality, & creative energy is at its peak. The waning moon & autumn is a time for grateful harvest of the fruits of our action, reflection on the passing cycle, & release of what no longer serves us.
