This high quality artistic little box is made from Cherry. I started with rough lumber & transformed it into this one-of-a-kind little treasure. The top is first carved with a delicate ornate design & then the carving is hand-painted & filled with resin (and crushed glass in certain areas). A wonderful artisan conversation piece... the perfect gift for someone special or yourself! I'm very proud of this one-of-a-kind creation! Many, many hours (days, weeks, years actually if I'm being honest) of trial an error to make this collectible little keepsake box. WHAT MAKES "AWESOME LITTLE BOxES" SO AWESOME ‣ Finely crafted palm-sized boxes. An elegant compact form. Unique designs. ‣ Made from high-end materials: Rare/Expensive Exotic & Domestic Species in artful compositions. ‣ An in the grain, hand wiped finished that is buffed out to a buttery smooth tactile feel. ‣ Many designs incorporate original artwork in various medias such as inks, acrylics, resins, etc. SIZING Approximate Exterior Diameter: 3" Approximate Interior Diameter: 2 3/8" Approximate Overall Height: 1.25" Approximate Depth of Bottom Portion of Box: ½" Approximate Depth of Top Portion of Box: 1/8" Approximate Total Depth of Box: ⅝" Top Fit Each box is a handcrafted so fitting of the tops will vary slightly but I generally strive to make the tops fit loosely on the bottoms. Frequently, the top will snug up as you rotate it (due to grain orientation). Also the fittings will snug/loosen slightly seasonally with normal moisture variations in the air. I try to error on the side of loose so that no one will struggle with a tight top, especially since I buffed these so smooth. If want a tight fit, please contact me & I will try to accommodate you.
