Hand loomed warp ikat woven cotton cloth, with fringe. Perfect to use as a wall hanging, throw or light blanket.The threads are pre-dyed (ikat literally means to tie in the Malay language ) by tightly wrapping the cotton threads with raffia in a predetermined motif. Once the threads are wrapped they are & hung to dry. Once dry the threads are set onto the loom into the predetermined motif, then painstakingly woven by hand on these simple primitive looms thread by thread.
