This is a mid-sized shade tree which grows between 20-30 feet tall, 25 feet wide. It has a beautiful rounded shape & as it grows taller a savvy gardener will remove lower branches until it becomes a perfect shady place to place a garden bench. Best of all, hundreds of pale pink outside, white inside tulip-shaped flowers cover the tree in very early spring just before the large dark green leaves begin to emerge. Saucer Magnolia grows one to two feet a year & bloom best in full sun. Not fussy at all about soil, it will grow in acid, sandy, clay or loam. It just asks for even moisture.
