An antique pair of French vases in the Art Nouveau style, by Legras, Verreries et Cristalleries de Saint-Denis, France. The hand-blown glass has a beautiful watery quality & is features a ruby color changing to green. A bulbous base sits on curved feet, with a columnar shaped body with optic sections that extend through the base. Finished with a fabulous ruffled rim. Beautifully decorated with gold enamel flowers & leaves at the front of the vase. There was also gold on the bulbous base, but that has long since gone, with only bits of gold here & there; however, the rest of the decoration is intact & lovely. You can see this shown in the book Legras by Jean Vitrat, shape "Lavalliere" & style 3036. Each vase is marked only with the number 16 on the bottom. Some air bubbles, one very small spot of possibly paint on the front of the base of one vase. Measures 10 3/4" tall x 6 1/2" wide. Weighty & fabulous! I would put fresh cut greenery in these for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years'... amazing!
