Cork Fabric with a soft vegan microfiber/suede-like backing. This fabric can be sewn on a domestic home sewing machine & is great for jewelry, bags, zipper pouches, wallets & anything that you would need or prefer a durable leather like fabric. This fabric is thick enough that you don't need to use stabilizers or interfacings unless you want to. Cork fabric is a sustainable & ecofriendly material made of cork tree bark shavings which are compressed & laminated/adhered to a fabric support backing. Once the bark is harvested from the tree it will regrow & the tree renews itself multiple times during its life making this material renewable & environmentally friendly. Cork fabric has a similar feel & durability to leather which is why is frequently called "cork leather." It is flexible, hypoallergenic, waterproof, stain resistant & can easily be cut or sewn which makes it perfect for a multitude of uses. Sizes Available are 5"x 8" sheets, 8"x 10" sheets (SOME COLORS ALSO AVAILABLE in 18" x 36" Rolls - GO TO CORK FABRIC ROLLS SECTION) Thicknesses of cork fabric range from approximately 0.70mm to 0.95mm - please see photos for specific thickness of this particular listing. All sizes are precut & will not be sold in continuous pieces if multiples of a single item are ordered.
