Up for consideration is a fine Western Themed Painting or Illustration by listed Detroit Artist Joseph L. Kraemer (1872-1938). The piece measures 18 inches by 23.5 inches in height. The illustration is in reference to the 1925 Western serial Called "The Fighting Ranger by F.C. McConnell". It was a Silent Movie made in 1925 of which there were 18 different parts. However the film itself is considered lost of which it's whereabouts is unknown. This is an original drawing & or painting which was done probably as an advertisement in a magazine, movie poster or lobby card. This is actually a very rare piece doesn't mean that it is worth millions but the movie information can be found IMDB. I mean try & find an original silent movie poster let alone the original art work that preceded it...whew let me breath folks I need some air...lol...Anyways the illustration is wonderful it depicts probably a Texas Ranger on Horse back trying to follow a menacing group of marauders of which he at some point is to bring them to justice single handedly...how hard & tough is that! I have uncovered over 20 Kraemer illustrations in a portfolio from an old collectors estate recently so please keep an eye on my listing as you may be pleasantly surprised at the quality of work & talent that has been hidden away for decades.
