up for consideration is fine old Late American Empire Chest of Drawers. The piece messages about 53.5 inches in height including the back splash. The width is about 44 inches & the depth is around 21.5 inches. The piece looks to be made of walnut with a combination of curly & birds eye maple veneered drawer fronts. This means originally the drawer fronts were golden maple color but has since then aged & a nice old patina has mellowed everything out. It is well made with the drawers fitting in fairly nicely. The drawer pulls are glass & are of the period & may be original. There looks to be some additional staining & some burn marks on the top edges. The piece has not been stained oiled or waxed & it is a bit dusty & dry looking. No visible repairs. If you have any questions concerns or something to share please message me...
