This is a very attractive Grain Belt coaster, never used & very retro. The original line of Grain Belt beers was brewed in Minneapolis from 1891-1975 by the Minneapolis Brewing Co. Grain Belt is synonymous with Minneapolis & became an initial sponsor of the Minnesota Twins & Minnesota Vikings when they became the state's first pro sports franchises in the early 1960s. The label vintage is 1940s or 1950s & features the Grain Belt diamond. The coaster comes in a 10 x 10 black easel-back frame with 1-color mat & attached sawtooth hanger for wall mounting. For the old school beer drinker who might have tipped a few Grain Belts while attending Minnesota or other colleges in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Makes a great anniversary or birthday gift. A hard-to-find vintage collectible that makes for fantastic bar decor and/or man cave décor! Grain Belt is now owned by the August Schell Brewing Co of New Ulm MN. The original Minneapolis brewery still stands & is one of the city's most iconic structures. It has been renovated & developed as a multi-tenant building.
