Lovely pair of original floral paintings by artist Lilian Whitteker (1895 - 1978), an American artist who was active in America & later in France. Mixed media (looks to be graphite & paint) on paper. Paintings have not been examined out of frames, but they appear to be in very good vintage condition with normal wear due to age - There is some toning in spots, but overall they have a clean appearance. There is some writing on both paintings at the top of each painting which I assume is in the artist's hand. (These are covered mostly by the frame & only peek out, so it's illegible without removing from frame.) Each painting is signed & dated. Wood frames are original & have a distressed white painted finish with pink detail. They are in good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear (some scuffs, knicks). There is a water stain on the back of one frame, but doesn't look to have damaged the painting in any way. Each measures approximately 12-1/4" x 14-3/4" overall.
