Britishers Enlist Today WWI British propaganda poster showing the British flag with bright colors & a bold strong message. Created in London from a pastel by British artist Guy Lipscomb encouraging American Britishers living in the United States to enlist in the armed forces. There was an earlier 1915 British version of the image used in England that read "Britishers Enlist It's Our Flag. Fight For It. Work For It.." Very dynamic with bold colors. Published by the The Hegeman Print, a New York publishing company in 1917. Original rare color lithograph in good condition. Guy Lipscombe ((1881-1952), headed the art department of the British weekly car magazine The Motor creating over 40 covers. He also covered the First World War as an artist. This poster is his most famous image from that time. There are rips, & tears you can see the damage in the photos provided. Some of these rips have been covered by tape, which you can also see in the photos.
