This gorgeous print is taken from the 1783 painting Marie Antoinette with a Rose by French artist Elizabeth Vigee le Brun. Le Brun was a favorite artist of the French Queen & she painted many portraits of her & her children. During the Reign of Terror le Brun had to flee France because of her close association with the court of Louis XVI. A full image of the artwork is shown for reference. The oval print here measures 30x40mm (about 1.2x1.6 inches) & is topped with a glass cabochon which adds depth & magnification. It is mounted on a beautifully crafted antique bronze tone pendant & is suspended from a matching 24" ball chain necklace. Never get your art pendant wet. To clean, buff with a soft dry cloth.
