The Mayflower Hotel has been a Washington DC landmark since its opening in 1925. It has hosted US presidents, personalities like Charles Lindbergh, & foreign dignitaries including Winston Churchill during its almost 100 years of hotel service. Buffalo Pottery Works manufactured dishware from 1901 until 1983. This large round platter is in wonderful vintage condition showing only light wear. We love the blue band interspersed with festive flower baskets. We are very curious as to how this round serving platter was used in the hotel's dining room. The platter is marked, "Made Expressly for The Mayflower Washington DC Buffalo China." Carefully consider the size of this item before making your purchase!
