The "Humongous" Fly Pattern is actually from Scotland. Used primarily for Lochs (lakes, reservoirs, etc.) in that region for Rainbow & Brown Trout. Sometimes called the "Silver Humongous" this pattern has all the ingredients of a great fly! The bead-chain eyes are placed on top of the 3x long streamer hook to invert this fly as it moves thru the water .... placing the hook point up for better connections to the largest of predatory Trout. The tinsel flash (both silver & pearl) are placed on top of the marabou tail to give a shimmering effect under the black tail (once it inverts), like the belly of a minnow. Grizzly hackle is palmered to give life-proving movement. & the black marabou tail is extra long to move more freely! This is one of the most "fishy looking" searching patterns you can find.
