Fine condition, one vertical fold well away from the image. Free shipping to US address. (396283 bx-72) Note: Ozaku Seishi was born in Tokyo in 1936. He graduated from the Department of Oil Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1960. in 1961, his paintings were selected for the Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition. in 1965, he won the Bronze Award at the Leipzig International Book Art Exhibition. He held a solo exhibition at the Form Gallery in Osaka & Tokyo from 1967 to 1984. in 1968, he won the Blo Ruff Museum Award at the 2nd Kurako International Print Biennale, & exhibited at the 6th Tokyo International Biennale. in 1974, he won the Governor of Emilia Romagna Award at the 4th Florence International Print Biennale. Since 1971, he has been teaching at Tama Art University, majoring in oil painting & printmaking. From 1979 to 1980, he studied in France & Germany as an overseas researcher of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. After returning to Japan, he had doubts about European print techniques & created his own techniques. He invented a technique called "woodcut lithography" a technique that allows printing without use of a press. A.R.R.
