This is one of those vintage tins that just catches your eye immediately & you know you have to grab it! The colors, graphics & typography are absolutely amazing for display. These vintage cleaning supply tins are perfect for shelf décor in the kitchen, bathroom or laundry room. This one would be great stacked or sitting upright to display that amazing lid in all it's glory. The lid reads "THE KIND WITH THE STRONG BACK-BONE | GRANT'S | 25 CENTS 50 CENTS & 1.00 Department Stores | GOLDEN GLOW | POLISH MOP One side touts its merits: "Cleans - Dusts - Polishes | All varnished or painted Floors, Woodwork, Linoleum, etc. The other side has instructions for use, which are marred by some rusty patina. Overall the tin is in good condition & displays well. There is some old residue from a paper tag on the lid that could possibly be carefully cleaned off, along with some wear & scratches. But the tin is solid without major dings & dents & the graphics look great. Grant's operated in Lynn, Mass between 1906 & 1975 & we believe this rare tin dates to the 1920s.
