Description
A large hand thrown stoneware compote bowl made by studio potter Jack Turner. This piece has a large flaring rim design with a finely crafted pedestal base. The exterior sides have a carved vertical line design the encircles the vase. The sides & rim have a dark brown drip glaze with the center of the bowl having a creamy gold glaze. This studio pottery piece is rather large measuring 11.75" wide at the rim by 6.5" tall. The base is signed Jack Turner Nov 79 - 737. The condition is nice & original on this large stoneware bowl. We note some glazed over imperfection spots on the rim as made. A great console bowl for your mid century living room interior.
