Vintage handcrafted double-sided wooden HOMAS SPELEN chess checkers board with framed edge. Dates to about 1970s or earlier. Two basic, but fine quality wooden gameboards in one with a raised border. Ideal for playing both chess & international draughts. Top side of game board has 8x8 -36 squares. Bottom side has 10x10 /100 squares. Dimensions of the board- 15'' x 15'' / 38cm x 38cm Each square on top side measures about 1.6''/ 4.5cm , & 1.4''/3.5cm on bottom side. Condition - Condition of board is very good. Light scratches here & there on both sides from use. There is slight loss of varnish in some places, also old lettering & numbers are barely visible. Very faintly visible, only in strong sunlight.
