The handcarved antique piece was decorated with a well carved horse form handle, & detailed carved patterns of animal & other naive style patterns. It was dated 1849. The mangle board is a good example of Norwegian/Skandinavian folkart, especially the naive animal symbol reminds people of the "skiensdyret" which was originally found in 1979 on a 1000 years' old wood plank. The piece might be older than 1849, & decorated later in 1849. Dimension: Length: 73cm, Width(max): 12.5cm, Height: 10cm. The piece has a leather belt hanger, it can hang as wall decor.
