I found the original twig, that I had molded to make these earrings, at the base of my favorite Oak tree in the yard of my childhood home on Long Island's Northshore. When I was little I used to play on & nearby this tree all the time. I love the tiny buds on this twig. They remind me of the cycles of life & the promise of renewal. This pair of earrings is cast solid in 10k yellow gold & each hand-made ear wire is also 10k yellow gold. The length of the twig (not including the hanger) is approximately 4.2cm. The width of the twig varies between 1.5mm-4.4mm. Each earring weighs approximately 1.03 grams (the pair together weigh 2.1 grams).
