Description
A charming demitasse cup & saucer, with a gold embossed rose, daisy, & leaf pattern, & an apple blossom floral with white, yellow, & pink. It has a shabby chic flair with some wear on the gold, giving it pretty patina. Made by the James Kent Ltd co, which bordered between Longton & Fenton (so you will often see back stamps from either of those places). It operated between 1897 & 2008, & was owned by several companies over a short number of years starting in the early 80s. This back stamp puts the cup in the 1940's/1950s. This set does have some crazing when you look closely (see close up pictures & also zoom in), as well as a couple of age spots. None of that seems to take away from the charm - taken as a whole it is a lovely, collectable set that will play well with others. Measurements Cup is 2 1/8" in diameter without the handle, 2 7/8" with the handle, & 2 1/4" high Saucer is 4 1/4" in diameter I am proud of the items I sell, & strive to provide accurate detail in both pictures & words.
