An original design, these beautiful Christmas cards are influenced by a Gothic style of illumination popular in manuscripts from the 11th to 15th centuries. The design features vibrant red illuminated letters (the 'M' & 'C') backed with gold, & is surrounded by a wreath of acanthus leaves. On the inside of the card is a verse from the Gospel of Luke, "For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." - Luke 2:11 Size: A2 (4.25" x 5.5") Printed in high-quality on 80lb or 100lb white cardstock. Folded & packaged by hand. Available as a single card or in packs of 5 or 10. All cards include simple white A2 sized envelopes. Single cards shipped flat in a large envelope. Card packs are shipped in a small box. Also available with imitation gold leaf for an added shine. Imitation gold leaf has a flat, highly reflective shine. Leaf is applied by hand by the artist.
