Up for sale ONE grafted apple tree 6-10 inches tall. Variety name is - "Golden Sentinel", columnar apple. The plant you are buying is 1 year old. Golden Sentinel is a large flavorful yellow apple that ripens in early October, sweet & juicy with that classic McIntosh crunch. Columnar apple trees are trees that produce their fruit on spurs along the main stem. Columnar trees combine disease resistance, flavor, & ease of growing in small spaces as each has a narrow upright habit. Ideally suited to grow in a container, on a patio, or as a small tree in the ground, trees grow to about 8' tall. Like other apples, you will need two different cultivars for pollination. Columnar apple varieties bloom in the mid & mid-late seasons & are good pollinizers for any other apple variety! Chill hours 800 to 1200. Shipping it with roots wrapped in wet media during dormancy (October -April), in pot with soil April through October. Keep roots moist all the time. Plant will be sent secured in the box. It has developed good root system & ready to be transplanted to the permanent location. I prefer to mail plant material on Monday or Tuesday (Rather beginning of the week) - only to assure that it will not sit on a shelf in the post office over the weekend.
