Vintage 1937 Eveready model 8251 Automatic Spotlight flashlight, art deco design in really nice condition, glass lens is intact with a chip. Takes 2 D cell batteries that are not included. The inside is in similar condition, the outside has very little wear for an 80 year old flashlight, the fact that it works still is a testament to its quality. Beautiful Flashlight. This is a different switch that may have been a prototype that was short lived & for good reason, appears to be a safety switch you slide forward to unlock & push the top button to "flash" on & hold it down to keep light on. Not sure if this was intentional or the on switch is kaput. Has a "Mountain Top" logo on end cap helps date it besides the great art deco design.
