Description

A the same price of something new in blue & white which will always hold up in value. Chinese export porcelain is formed into the desire shape & then fired with the glaze. That forms a good surface for the artist to paint on. I have a new piece which is similar & done by an artist. A gift from a Japanese friend, I photographed it but you could not see what I wanted to point out. Antique export porcelain with the glaze, painting & glaze develops a unique color. It is a white With undertones of blue & gray & is something to really live. This is great piece for the desk, for the table, for a small plant or with a bright red glass Christmas ornament. It is 2.5 inches tall & was three inches wide. in perfect condition except for one bubble on the rim from the original firing. It is always hard to price Chinese export so I am going to get very sentimental & give you a real bargain. When I was married in 1965, I loved window shopping at Shackleford's antiques, which was out in the country from where I lived as a bride in Richmond, Va. I now live in Midlothian, a crowded suburb. The Shacklford's are long deceased but inside this piece was a receipt from 1960. I will charge less than they did! now $35, then $45.
