This is a remarkably large tournament sized lardy. Knights are hand carved with nice detail & teeth. Made in France. Crafted around the 1930's/40's. The pieces have some varnish wear. No lean to the kings or queens. All have felted bases in great shape. A few pawn collar chips & a bishop base chip seen in photos. The box has some varnish wear but is in good solid shape.
