These rare & gorgeous 16th Century, French, black jet, hoops date to the 1780's! How amazing that they are still together, unbroken & still sparkling up a storm! Over 230 years old, they are surely one of a kind. Made of black jet & mounted on steel, these treasures were most likely mourning jewelry when made. There is a little wear to the inner sides where you can see the steel surface.
