The reverse design, by a Royal Canadian Mint engraver, recreates the familiar shape of a maple leaf-specifically that of the silver maple (Acer saccharinum) species-while combining different finishes & finely detailed engraving to give the design added depth & dimension. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Included with this special silver coin is a wooden display box & numbered certificate of authenticity.
