This is a unique, vintage mid-century 1950s, handmade, sculptural, natural, driftwood & husk(?), display stand or serving platter. Very unusual. It has been painted an orangish/red along with metallic gold & measures approximately 8 inches in height by 10 inches wide by 23 inches in length. It is comprised of 3 long, narrow pieces of driftwood with some kind of thick husk or pod (?) platform. It has no markings so I do not know its original origin. My first impression was that it was an Asian, floral Ikebana, display stand. I guess it could be used to display anything or as a serving platter. I think there are many different uses for this unusual piece. It is well made, solid & in very good condition. Please be sure before purchasing as this item is NOT returnable.
