Once digitized, the lifespan of your printed memorabilia is substantially increased & protected from environmental damage like fires or flooding. We digitize & scan old photographs using professional techniques that result in high-resolution JPG files. Your images are cared for by our trained archiving experts, who will treat your materials with the utmost care. Once the photo scanning process is complete, we will return your original images as well as provide you with your digital storage device (DVD, USB drive, external drive, etc.), which will contain each scanned/digitized image as a .jpg file. Prints are scanned at the original size of the print with a resolution of 300dpi Front & back scanning is available. All original items are returned to you after the process is complete. How To Prepare Your Items for Shipping: Photos + Slides - Neatly stack these in an envelope or plastic re-sealable baggie. Do not send picture frames, photo albums, or sleeves. Film Feels - If your film reels have a fitted container, keep them stored there. If not, carefully tape the end of the film to the edge of the reel so it doesn't accidentally tangle or unwind in transit. VHS Tapes - Pack VHS tapes in their cardboard VHS Tape sleeves if possible. If not, consider using a large envelope or baggie for a little added protection. Rolls of film - Pack rolls in a plastic resealable baggie. How to safely box your items: After items are individually prepared, carefully place them inside a sturdy box & add packing filling (such as newspaper, packing paper, or bubble wrap) in the empty spaces between your items.
