French Gents Morning Suit, Original Label, Black Wool Long Tailcoat, Original Tailors Label ja 11132225 Superb quality French gents long tailcoat with satin lapels. Original tailors label inside. It may have been for a military gent. Satin/silk lining. One exterior chest pocket & two interior chest pockets. It does not button closed at the front although there are buttons for decoration & two at the back (with a full length slit down the center). Padded shoulders. Excellent quality tailor made, well cared for & preserved. Please read all measurements well, we are not offering returns. Measures; 17.5" shoulder seams, 36/38" chest (there is some give here because it does not button closed), 20" length (front), 42.5" length (back), sleeve length 22.5" (from shoulder), 16" sleeve (from underarm). All in amazing, well cared for & preserved condition, although does show some wear from aging & light use. A bit dusty from storage. Generally in good condition with one issue that needs a sew repair on the left lapel. The satin has come away & needs stitching back in place. Its' not damaged (the satin), just needs a stitching repair. Apologies for the photos however black is difficult to photograph. Dusty with lint as mentioned above, would benefit from a dry cleaning. Has been passed down from many generations, it must have been for a very special occasion. Thanks for viewing.
