Description
This is a pretty scarce item no matter how you look at it. Limited information but what I can determine it may have been given as a trophy to employees who participated in recreational activities sponsored by the Jacob Ruppert Brewery Co who at one time brewed the Number 1 selling beer in America in the early 20th Century Knickerbocker Beer. The former owner (a lady) worked at the Brewery in the late 1950's as a young woman. These beer stein trophies all had a topper, a male golfer, male or female bowler & a male baseball batter of the examples I have seen. This is a massive stein that including the topper is over 21". Great imagery on all sides & obviously made specifically as this says "The Ruppert Trophy" with the Knickerbocker Beer man on it. The bowler seems quite out of place but it is original to the stein & she is missing a hand, it's easily removed which in fact it will be for shipping. Speaking of which this is very heavy & shipping is calculated by your zip code & size & weight. This is a great piece of Breweriana or for anyone connected to a Brewery that has been closed since 1965.
