This is hand carved wooden small figurines of the Slavic Goddesses - Mat Zemlya, Dolya & Nedolya. They are made of linden tree & are covered with linseed oil & wax. All figurines are approximately 15 centimeters (6 Inches) tall. You can choose the desired figurine in the drop-down menu. MAT ZEMLYA (Matka Ziemia or Matushka Zeml'ja) is the Earth Mother & is probably the oldest deity in Slavic mythology.She is also called Mati Syra Zemlya meaning Damp Mother Earth or Moist Mother Earth. Her identity later blended into that of Mokosh. DOLYA & NEDOLYA are two sisters - two heavenly spinners, assistants to the goddess of fate, who spin the thread of every person's life. Dolya, a smiling beauty, spins an even golden thread, weaving happiness & good luck into it. While the gloomy Nedolya spins a spinous, uneven thread, full of trials & difficulties. Despite the fact that Dolya & Nedolya are complete opposites of each other, they are inextricably linked.
