I created this piece in chalk pastels while participating as a Live Artist at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. It was a GORGEOUS weekend with perfectly clear skies & a nice breeze. I spent the weekend drawing & talking to bourbon enthusiasts. As I worked on the piece throughout the weekend, I kept adding more blues & purples to the woodgrain, feeding off the energy of the crowd & weather. It was truly an amazing experience! Those who drink their bourbon Neat enjoy it in it's purest form, without additives. My husband takes his time while drinking it Neat, slowly dissecting each flavor in its individual profile. My goal was to marry the simplicity of the Neat cocktail with the complexity of Bourbon's sensory profile by keeping the background simple but the colors VIBRANT. Prints of this artwork are sold on archival quality, heavy-weight paper & printed using archival inks. When displayed away from direct sunlight, prints will resist fading for up to 200 years. I am extremely meticulous about the color quality of each print & check to make sure that the colors are an exact match to the original art. All prints sold are standard sizes & will have a 1/4" white border around the edges so the print can be custom framed without cropping out any of the art. If you choose to put your print in a premade frame (and do not purchase a matted option), you may need to trim off a small amount of the border. This can easily be done with scissors. Matted prints should fit perfectly in all premade frames. Matted prints are attached to a WHITE mat on 2-4 sides with wall safe tape. A white backing board is added for stability during shipping. The print & backing board are protected in a crystal clear sleeve. Matted prints are shipped in a StayFlat mailer with cardboard inside to help prevent bending during shipping. All other prints will be carefully rolled in bubble wrap & shipped in a 2"-3" mailing tube. This print pairs well with any other bourbon art on the shop page.
