Description
Up for sale is a rare antique 19th century Chinese writing quill & sheath. The solid cast iron sheath is nicely gilded in gold & has acquired a wonderful patina from age. It is made of two pieces that also have lockable bails on the sides. Inside is an original handmade natural bamboo pen quill. It's in good condition & the sheath measures 13 1/4 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. There is some slight browning on the bottom edge.
