Description
The plate features John Patterson the man possibly responsible for all the images on the plate back in the early twentieth century, The plate maybe considered flow blue. The blue graphics are a very dark blue. The plate bows out at the surrounding rim. Overall fine crazing to the piece due to the age etc. A stamp on the backside, semi-porcelain with crown mark Wedgewood & Co. Lo, England, Stanley Mills & Co. Ltd. Hamilton. The backside rim has some crust on ridge line. Flaws in ceramic, potter lumps, pin holes & dots. The transfer ware can sometimes look uneven especially on top of plate where Hamilton is in the lettering, There are some light brown splattered dots on some of edged areas. They may not come off, I don't know why. Sold as I found it & as is. the dot areas one for example are near steel & iron smelter Hamilton & other areas. See all pics.
