Description
This is a lovely antique white linen petticoat. The petticoat is simple overall with a waistband that fastens in the back with a shell button. The skirt is gathered down into the waistband with more seam gatherings in the back. The skirt falls to the floor & has a wonderful leaf eyelet lace detail with scalloping edges. Condition: The petticoat is in great overall condition with only one flaw. There is a small tear in the flounce, it is small no bigger than a quarter & could be patched. There also are some creases in the skirt where it was maybe taken up or was a thick pin-tuck that was removed & the creases did not iron out after a good press & laundering. They are fainter now but still can be noticed if you were wearing it like a skirt. The petticoat has been professionally hand laundered & is ready to wear. Measurements Waist: 26" Hips: up to 52" Length: 36" The measurements provided are the max for the garment. Please check the measurements closely for determining fit. I do not give sizes for vintage items as women's sizes are not standardized & a majority of these dresses were homemade or specialty made to fit one person.
