Her appearance was accompanied by a rose, & she invited a young girl named Bernadette to pray the Rosary with her. Mary asked Bernadette to dig into the ground, where a spring of water appeared. The water looked incredibly clean, & was soon given to those experiencing illnesses, many of whom were miraculously cured. Mary appeared eighteen more times in Lourdes, which today is the site of a church & grotto where millions visit to seek healing & clarity from the precious water that began flowing over 150 years ago!
