Up for sale is an interesting original vintage oil painting on canvas by Famous British Artist Ernest Burnett Hood, (1932 to 1988), depicting a portrait of a man in a costume. Ernest Hood is an English artist known for Ship, marine, genre scene, & portrait painting. He was born in Edinburgh. Studied at Glasgow School of Art, 1952-6. He became a member of the Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, also showing with RSW, RSA, RWS, & elsewhere. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow, where Hood lived, holds his work. The painting is in good/vintage condition. Presented in a wood-carved frame with a liner. The frame has some minor scuffs & chips. Please see the photos, the photos are part of the description. Measures with the frame 24 "x 19.5", painting 12 "x 16".
