This charming Dutch Girl Cookie Jar is 12 inches tall & about 7 inches at the widest point. in the 1940s, images of women in traditional Dutch costumes were a popular trend in kitchen decor. Dutch women were seen as very feminine & Americans found Dutch culture to be both exotic & charmingly familiar because of the large number of ethnic Dutch Americans. This ceramic cookie jar is in excellent vintage condition. There are a few bubbles in the glaze & some visible brush strokes in the red paint, but this is normal for ceramic pieces from this period. Whether you want to celebrate your own Dutch heritage or just enjoy this lovely piece of 1940s kitsch, this is a great gift for yourself or your favorite vintage loving friend! Thank you for looking!
