The thick textured paint & fast brush strokes of the scenery, calls back to the immediacy of plein air painting, capturing the ever-fluctuating light & composition of the landscape. The Adirondack mountains, Lake Champlain & other local settings, are often the subject of my landscape/lakescape pieces. I am new to frame building, so the sturdy hand-crafted frames that the pieces are placed in are rustic, & are not "perfect" in anyway.
