A very uncommon large mid to late 19th century physics laboratory lens for magnifying & condensing light for various experiments. The lens is mounted in a turned walnut cell, on a brass yoke, with extendable brass pillar & a Y shaped iron base. Height is adjustable between approximately 18in to 23in Lens Diameter 7.5in Frame Diameter 10in Condition Notes: There is one small pockmark in the glass of the lens. Overall, the lens is very clear.
